Frequently Asked Questions Q. How do we (performers) pay for the cruise? A. In general, the performers don't. They earn free space on the cruise based on the number of fans who come along. Q. Can the ship meet our performance equipment needs? A. We only work with modern ships that have sophisticated sound capabilities. We work with you to arrange for technical needs with engineers from the cruise line. Q. What is the performers' appearance fee? A. The fee is dependent on the number of fans who come on the cruise and on the length of the cruise. We typically find performers earn two to five thousand dollars in addition to the value of the cruise vacation, though there is potential for much more. A. Fan Club Cruises sets rules for fans that explains when they can and cannot approach you. Your cabin will be your private domain, and the Fan Club Cruises' onboard coordinator is there to deal with any issues that arise. Q. What do the performers have to do? A. Just promote the cruise on your website, at your concerts and in mailings to your fan clubs, attend the cocktail party on board and conduct the agreed upon concerts and Q&A/Autograph session and enjoy your cruise! A. Fan Club Cruises provides identification badges that must be worn at all exclusive functions to make it easy to identify our group participants. Q. Is there other entertainment on the cruise? A. Yes, there is a great amount of entertainment provided by the cruise line that is, of course, available to both our performers and our group participants. Everyone is able to enjoy all parts of the "normal" cruise, the ports, etc., as well as our own additional, private functions. Q. What types of cruises are available? There is a wide variety of cruises available. There are 3, 4 and 5-day cruises from Florida or New Orleans to the Bahamas or Mexico and 3 and 4-day cruises from California to Mexico and Catalina. There is also a great variety of one-week cruises to a variety of Caribbean islands, Alaska, Europe or other destinations. |
